The Lord’s Our Shepherd (C)

The Lord’s our Shepherd, we’ll not want.

He makes us lie in pastures green.

He leads us by the still, still waters,

His goodness restores our souls.

And we will trust in you alone,

and we will trust in you alone,

for your endless mercy follows us,

your goodness will lead us home.

He guides our ways in righteousness,

and he anoints our heads with oil,

and my cup, it overflows with joy,

we feast on his pure delights.

And we will trust in you alone,

and we will trust in you alone,

for your endless mercy follows us,

your goodness will lead us home.

And though we walk the darkest path,

we will not fear the evil one,

for you are with us, and your rod and staff

are the comfort we need to know.

And we will trust in you alone,

and we will trust in you alone,

for your endless mercy follows us,

your goodness will lead us home.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.”
