Come of fount of every blessing (?)

Come, O fount of every blessing,

tune our hearts to sing of grace;

streams of mercy, never ceasing,

call for songs of loudest praise:

Songs of God’s abundant treasure;

sung by angel tongues above;

songs that tell the boundless measure

of our Lord’s unchanging love.

Here we raise our Ebenezer:

by his help we’ve safely come;

and we know he will not fail us,

but will surely bring us home.

Jesus sought me when a stranger

wandering far away from God,

and, to rescue us from danger,

shed for us his precious blood.

On that day when freed from sinning,

we shall see your lovely face.

Fully clothed in blood-washed linen,

how we’ll sing your sovereign grace.

Come, O Lord, no longer tarry,

take our ransomed souls away.

Send your angels now to carry

us to realms of endless day.

Through God’s grace we are his debtors -

daily we this thought renew.

Let that grace, Lord, like a fetter

bind our wandering hearts to you.

Prone to wander, Lord, we feel it.

Prone to leave the God we love.

Take our hearts, O take and seal them;

seal them for your courts above.

Prone to wander, Lord, we feel it.

Prone to leave the God we love.

Take our hearts, O take and seal them;

seal them for your courts above.

“Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: ‘Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.”
